Activity

Activity is your company's trail: every change made inside Hosting for this company, who made it and when. It is the page to open when you want to know what happened — "who changed that setting?" — rather than what is true now.

Open Company → Activity.

What is recorded

Each entry is one change, and it names:

ColumnWhat it tells you
EventThe change that was made, in plain words
TimeWhen it was made
ActorThe person who made it, or System when the platform did it on its own
Original operatorThe HaakCo operator who was signed in, when somebody acted for your company

A change made while a HaakCo operator was signed in on your behalf shows both the account that acted and the operator behind it, so an impersonated change never reads as your own staff member's work.

The Event box filters the trail by event name, and the list is sorted newest first. You can page through it; the trail only shows this company's own changes.

Read one entry

Choose an event's name to open its detail. The detail page shows the same four facts again — actor, original operator, company and time — and then the Changed values it recorded.

Changed values lists each field that moved, as its old value and its new value. A field that was empty before or after reads as Empty. An entry that changed no tracked field says so — No field changes recorded — which is what a change to something that is not a stored field looks like.

What the trail does not record

  • It is not a log of everything that happened. It records the changes Hosting makes and the actions it takes on your behalf. What happened inside your application, your database or your mailboxes is not in here.
  • It does not record secrets. When a password is set, a key is added or a credential is revealed, the trail records that it happened — never the secret itself. A revealed administrator or database password is an entry with no value in it.
  • It is not the panel's own history. Reading the trail does not add an entry to it. The trail records changes, not page views.
